NYT Strands today (game #633) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #633, are…
- QUIET
- COACH
- DINING
- OBSERVATION
- SLEEPER
- SPANGRAM: PASSENGERTRAIN
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 2 hints
Sometimes seeing part of a word is the thing that helps you find all of it. This was the case today when I worked backwards from T-I-O-N to get the longest game word OBSERVATION.
After finding QUIET and not understanding its significance I took two hints getting COACH and DINING before landing that extra-long spangram – which, very pleasingly, was sort of in the shape of a train.
The best thing about Amtrak’s OBSERVATION car is that they have seats that face sideways rather than the direction of travel, making the view the star, something that’s unique in my experience of train travel.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands answers (Tuesday, November 25, game #632)
- ACME
- APEX
- SUMMIT
- PINNACLE
- PEAK
- HEIGHT
- ZENITH
- SPANGRAM: UPPERLIMIT
