Move to the groove with Wrapped Party

For the first time, you can compare your Spotify Wrapped stats with your friends – it’s like Blend playlists, but for Wrapped.
The new interactive feature turns your listening data into a live competition you can play with friends. It reveals interesting insights including who had the most overall minutes listened, who’s the most obsessed fan, and even who played the rarest track.
At the end of the experience, it presents your friendship group with a special award based on how common your music tastes are. I can’t wait to ridicule my loved ones once again.
Spotify unveils a new fan insight feature

Spotify has always been clear on its dedication to music fan bases, and this is something that comes with Wrapped 2025.
Do you have a favorite artist that’s always on repeat? Using your total minutes listened for your top artist, you can see where you rank among their global listeners and have evidence that you’re a true fan.
This one didn’t appear in my own Spotify Wrapped review, but I don’t really need Spotify to tell me that I’m a HAIM superfan.
A new social feature? Sign me up
What’s this? A new social feature you say! Spotify Wrapped 2025 introduces a new slide; welcome Clubs.
Spotify says that Clubs is designed to ‘celebrate the streaming habits that defined your year’. You’ll be sorted into one of six Clubs that each represent a different listening type, and it’ll also tell you the Club’s vibe and the rarity percentage of global listeners that fall into it. Within your Club you’ll be assigned a role within that community which tells you even more about your music personality.
Tell us, are you Club Serotonin? Or are you a more relaxing and lowkey listener in Cloud State Society?
Finally, top album stats are here!
Tired of Spotify not revealing your top albums? Well, that’s a thing of the past because for the first time in Spotify Wrapped history, the music platform is shedding light on your top albums of 2025 – has Spotify actually listened to us for once?
For me, it was a toss-up between Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM (obviously), HAIM’s I Quit, or Wolf Alice’s The Clearing. But out of the 159 albums I listened to this year, my loyalty was with Gaga once again.
What are your top albums? And what’s your favorite release from 2025?
Listening Age you say?

Old classics got a cool visual upgrade, but Spotify has rolled out a tonne of new features that tell you what type of listener you are – let’s look at the new Listening Age stat.
New to Wrapped, Listening Age compares your music taste to other Spotify users in the same age group as you and examines the release years of the tracks you listened to most. As a 25 year-old, I apparently have a listening age of 66 – what can I say, Stevie Wonder took over my summer.
Are you young at heart? Or an old soul?
Say hello to the new Top Song Quiz and Top Artist Sprint
Spotify has given its classic Wrapped features a much-needed makeover. As well as showing you your most listened-to genres, Spotify has created a ‘Top Song Quiz’ where you can select from multiple tracks to guess your crowning song of 2025. Similarly, your top artists stats have also been refreshed.
With ‘Top Artist Sprint’ you can watch your top five artists race to the finish line and see which one will come out on top. It also visualizes how your top artists shifted month by month, which I think is a pretty neat new personal insight.
As always, Spotify will generate a personalized Your Top Songs 2025 playlist, but it’s different this time, as it now shows how many times you streamed each of your top 100 tracks this year – I don’t think I want to know how many times I’ve streamed Abracadabra by Lady Gaga.
First impressions
From what we’ve seen so far, the Wrapped user experience has been completely revamped for 2025 – much to our relief following last year’s disaster.
As well as spotlighting your top artists and songs as usual, Spotify has introduced a range of new features and insights to your listening habits, and we can’t wait to get into them. But for now, let’s start with the classics.
Can’t find Spotify Wrapped 2025?
Spotify Wrapped 2025 has launched!
It’s here! The time has come to unveil Spotify Wrapped 2025 and its range of new features. Which artists and songs summarized your 2025? Let us know in the comments.
What went wrong with Spotify Wrapped last year?
When Spotify unveiled Wrapped this time last year, it wasn’t welcomed with the warmest of embraces, with some saying it was one of the worst music recaps. For starters, tonnes of personal insights were sacrificed for AI features that no one asked for. This included the AI podcast and a special Wrapped revamp of AI DJ – though I use the word ‘revamp’ very loosely.
Earlier this year, Spotify admitted it made mistakes with Wrapped 2024, implying that the company had some plans up its sleeve to give Wrapped 2025 a fresh overhaul. Has Spotify learned from its mistakes? What do you think?
Duolingo unveils its 2025 review
The music streaming services aren’t the only ones looking back over the past 12 months – Duolingo has also rolled out its Year in Review, which you can access by tapping the icon that appears at the bottom left when you open the app.
You’ll be shown a nice little presentation including the number of lessons you’ve completed, your language score (something the green owl is now encouraging you to add to your LinkedIn profile), and the number of minutes you’ve poured into the app.
I’ve apparently spent 3,394 minutes on the Welsh course, which is equivalent to two days, eight hours and 34 minutes (dau dydd, wyth haur, a tri deg pedwar minud).
Now let’s hand things over to our homes editor Cat Ellis, who’s excited for another yearly recap – but one you might not be thinking of…
Apple Music Replay 2025 beats Spotify to the punch
Ahoy! Becky Scarrott, TechRadar’s audio editor here and while Spotify users are still waiting for Wrapped, I woke up to an absolutely splendid Apple Music Replay offering this morning.
That’s right, Apple Music has already beaten Spotify to the punch with its answer to Wrapped (which walked all over Wrapped last year too, in my opinion) and I can tell you that once again, I experienced zero issues when opening and viewing my Replay roundup this year.
So what should you expect? On mobile (on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is the only place I’ve viewed it so far – been a busy morning) the top-left icon of your home screen invites you to ‘Replay your year in music’, which quickly loads to a seven-slide shareable video that gets positively granular on your listening habits over the past 12 months.
Not only does it cite the minutes you’ve listened for the entire year, it also depicts your top artists each month, the number of new artists you invited into your life, the sum total of new albums you streamed, your number 1 song for the year (of course) and it even told me that for the first time since 2017, ‘pop’ was my top genre… I know.
My top song? No One Else by Tanerélle and barnacle boi. And I’m absolutely fine with sharing that.
While we wait for more updates on Spotify Wrapped 2025, let’s hand over to our audio editor Becky Scarrott to talk about Apple Music Replay 2025!
How can we tell when Spotify Wrapped is on the way?
It’s fairly easy to tell how close Spotify Wrapped is when other music streaming services start the roll out for their own year in music reviews. YouTube Music beat both Spotify and Apple Music to the punch, rolling out YouTube Music Recap 2025 last week.
YouTube Music Recap 2025 adopts a similar style to its previous years, highlighting the artists, albums, and tracks you listened to most. As well as showing the total for minutes listened overall, this year there’s a new option to ask questions about your year in music which is powered by AI.
When might it land?
Spotify’s teasers have hinted that Wrapped 2025 is imminent, but they’ve stopped tantalizingly short of giving us an exact date.
So when could it land? Looking back at previous years (below), today is a strong candidate – it’s landed on a Wednesday for the last four years, with the 2024 edition arriving on December 4.
That said, going back to 2019 and 2018 it did also arrive on a Thursday. So based on those dates, our tea leaves are pointing to either today or tomorrow…

How has Spotify been teasing Wrapped 2025?
Spotify gave our first glimpse of Wrapped 2025 a few days ago via its various social media channels, teasing this year’s roundup through a short-form video with seven graphics to reflect this year’s most-streamed artists including Lady Gaga, Pinkpantheress, Justin Bieber, and more.
That’s usually a sign that it’s imminent – last year, we saw those teasers appears a just a few days before Wrapped 2024 launched.
